Right now we are looking for a Java Engineer to work with our USA client. Together, we develop a database proxy application, that works as an extra layer between clients' applications and databases. The proxy works on a low level, imitating a real database, without a need to change a client’s or database’s side. Added to an environment, the product offers a lot of benefits, like extra monitoring tools and an additional security layer for database administrators, speeding up queries by caching for application developers, etc.
Our team is focused on developing the project by adding new features, but as the product is used by customers we also fix bugs.
You’ll be able to develop your skills across a wide range of problems to solve, on various technological levels.
What will be your responsibilities?
- Developing new features related to new database vendors or new use cases.
- Improving the quality of the product, along with fixing customer-facing issues.
- Preparing a report summarizing the work done.
- Participating in the requirement discussion meetings and providing feedback on inconsistencies.
Requirements
- Min.1 year of commercial Java experience, including Spring - must have!
- Structured knowledge in the field of databases.
- Solution-oriented way of working.
- Practice with Docker.
It would be nice if you have:
- Basic knowledge of Angular.
- Understanding of modern software engineering practices in the Cloud.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field.
